Yesterday our good JCI friend, Robison Icaro got hitched!!!! :) Singtinik sa chiks ni Dolphy, with the charisma of Derek Ramsey, that's how everyone describe Kuya Rob to me being the new "baby" of the JCI family. But all that soon changed, because yesterday he finally threw the hat for something far more important, spending the rest of his life with his wife and having kids--finally! :) While Kuya Rob will miss most of the fun, I guess its finally time to give way for "younger" kuya Rob to replace his old seat! hahahahahahahahahahaha! =)
The beautiful wedding was held at Chapel On the Hill, Nasugbu Batangas. The same church where my brother got married, and with the same Priest too! :) The girls and I arrived pretty early, but we cling to our motto above anything, "Better late than fugly". hahaha I on the other hand were working on my Kate-Middleton-na-Buntis "peg". hahaha Though we were running fashionably late, we didn't miss the "kiss the bride part" hehehe.
The wedding was beautifully detailed to match the couples personality, incorporating even what they do as a Doctor, and a Banker. Please save the dates was inspired with RX pads, and the invitation? A checkbook! A genius right? It was nice to see Kuya Rob sooo involved with all the wedding planning! =) We couldn't be any happier to celebrate this wonderful milestone in his life with him! :)
While we thought it was just another wedding, our emotional buttons were raped perpetually!!! Tears were shed uncontrollably, and hope soared all over the room. :) Not only was it a celebration of union with the commitment of spending the rest of your life together, it was a celebration of life, and the daily miracles we experience everyday.
It tapped the inner hopeless romantic in us, and boy we almost blew to impossible proportions. Kuya Rob, and Dra. Jen may have waited a while, but it was the kind of love that makes us say "It's worth the wait." Waiting is such a gift, it tests our patience, and reveals the depth of our faith. :)
The Lord has better plans, we might have to learn to let go of some things, so we can embrace his plans for us. We must not falter on struggle, but rather strive to be stronger, and better. I don't know the couple very well, but genuine happiness reflected in their eyes. We capped the wedding with "Kuya Rob found the one indeed."
I now pronounce us brothers and sisters for the rest of our lives! For better or for worse, for richer, and for poorer. From Jack Daniels, to endless foodtrip, and to more movie dates. You may now kiss me guys! :) hahah
